Office Administrator

Due to internal promotion we are looking for a friendly and customer focused office administrator for this well established family business based on the outskirts of Knaresborough.
This is an interesting and varied office administrator position that will enable you to work on various administrative projects. You will predominantly support the sales and operations teams along with providing some reception duties, meeting and greeting clients and visitors and taking incoming customer calls.
As Office Administrator you will be the face and voice of the company as you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and incoming calls. Training will be provided but we are looking for someone who is friendly, confident on a computer and keen to be part of a busy office team. You will spend three days working in the busy sales and operations office and two days of the week on the front reception desk. You will have good organisational and administration skills and should be able to work with numbers and large sets of data.
Office Administrator responsibilities will include:
Supporting with various administrative projects
Supporting the sales team with providing quotes and estimations
Training and learning the product names
Speaking to customers and building relationships
Providing substitutions or alternative products
Checking and monitoring orders, paying attention to the number and quantities
Entering numerical data into a spreadsheet for quotes and estimating purposes
Working with shared folders to support various departments with their current workload
Checking stock management system and allocating stock for orders
Answer incoming calls and transfer calls through the switchboard
Ensure all visitors sign in & following health and safety procedures
Booking and setting up meeting rooms & providing refreshments for visitors
Ensure the entrance area is tidy and welcoming at all times Requirements for this role:
Have a good level of English and maths, GCSE or equivalent
Good IT skills and competent with Microsoft Office & Teams
Professional and friendly telephone manner
Excellent customer service skills
Good organisational and time management skills
Will require a good head for numbers and attention to detail
Previous office administration experience
