Job Description
Role Purpose: To set the overarching direction for CPS and hold Business Performance & Planning (BP&P) functions to account for delivery against this role:
1. Define CPS annual business plan to address the evolving demands of the network, our clients (National Highways and Connect Plus) and our JV Parent Companies.
2. Drive performance, holding functions to account and assure delivery against plan.
3. Track, analyse & report performance.
4. Set annual budget envelope for functions.
5. Define and regularly review CPS governance.
Accountabilities:
1. Responsible for standing up the new BP&P operating team by end of Mar 2025.
2. Prepare and regularly review and refine CPS business plan, considering current challenges, future opportunities and evolving our customer and stakeholder needs.
3. Guide the business in performance management, addressing issues promptly and efficiently.
4. Hold business leaders accountable and closely monitor performance and risk against our Strategic Business Objectives and contractual obligations.
5. Collaborate with other senior leaders to improve performance levels and ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Foster, empower, and sustain a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement and meeting contract expectations.
7. Maintain relationships with leaders in Connect Plus, National Highways, and JV/Parent Company Board members.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
* Relevant professional qualification, ideally Chartered / Incorporated with a UK institution.
* Experience in business strategy, performance management, and budget setting in critical infrastructure.
* Experience in Joint Ventures or similar arrangements (desirable).
* Experience in Operational and Maintenance environments (desirable).
