Job Title: 1:1 Behavioural Support Location: Cardiff, Wales Hours: Full Time (08:30 – 15:30) Pay: £83.85 per day (paid weekly) Start date: June 3 rd About the Role: Behaviour support workers play a crucial role in shaping the lives of young students and is extremely rewarding when you see progress in student behaviour after your hard work. Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a 1:1 behaviour support assistant for a role in a school in the CF5 area. The young student you will be supporting is a KS1 student that has challenging behaviour which can lead to violence once they’re dysregulated. This role is challenging but extremely rewarding, with opportunity to have a real and measurable impact on a young student’s life. We are looking for someone who can provide constant support and at times interventions to manage behaviour. There will be focus on avoiding certain triggers and trying to harbour an inclusive learning environment for the child. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Patience, resilience, and understanding. Proven skills in problem-solving and conflict resolution. A clear and positive communication manner. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students and parents. Enthusiasm and be committed to working as part of a team, as well as on own initiative. The ability to always remain calm and professional. Support the School policies on safeguarding and child protection. Key Attributes: Experience working with children, especially those with challenging behaviour. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and special education practices. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
