Venn Group is working with a public sector organisation to recruit a proactive Systems Administrator to oversee and manage the day-to-day IT operations of the organisation. The role will have a strong emphasis on Microsoft 365 administration, device management, cyber security, and supporting business improvement projects.
Key responsibilities of the role:
* Handle the sourcing, setup, and deployment of laptops, ensuring all devices meet company standards and are properly tracked
* Manage Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration, including managing user access and updating team sites
* Lead efforts to maintain cyber security certifications and implement improvements identified through risk assessments
* Contribute technical expertise to business transformation initiatives, particularly in Microsoft cloud services and data security
* Manage system upgrades across the organisation, including operating system transitions and endpoint protection tools
* Deliver onboarding support for new staff, produce user guides for new technologies, and manage purchasing and invoice processes
* Act as the first line of support for internal IT issues, coordinating with external providers when escalation is needed
Ideal candidate profile:
* Proven expertise in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and device deployment using Intune and Autopilot
* Strong background in IT support coordination, user onboarding, and third-party provider management
* Solid understanding of cyber security compliance, risk mitigation, and system upgrade processes
* Effective communicator with experience in cross-team collaboration, training delivery, and process improvement
