Senior Quantity Surveyor – High Wycombe

Our client is a leading Main Contractor renowned for delivering high-quality construction projects across the UK, with individual project values reaching up to £100m. They operate across a diverse range of sectors including industrial, logistics, commercial, and mixed-use developments, and are known for their technical excellence and strong client relationships.
They are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in High Wycombe.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial management and delivery of large-scale construction projects. You will oversee cost planning, procurement, and commercial management from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring best value and profitability across your assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all commercial aspects of allocated projects from start to completion
* Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
* Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management
* Value and certify subcontractor payments and variations
* Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Lead on monthly cost reporting and contribute to strategic financial decisions
* Manage final accounts and ensure accurate project close-out
Experience & Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a Main Contractor
* Strong background within civil, structural and architectural (CSA) packages
* Proven track record on projects up to £100m in value
* Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
