National Grid is hiring multiple Product Owners for our Electricity Distribution (NGED) department. These roles can be located in any of our offices with flexible, hybrid working options available.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Product Management, the Product Owner manages the agile delivery and optimisation of digital products. This pivotal role involves shaping and executing digital product strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring successful delivery that meets customer needs and business objectives. The role also requires subject matter expertise, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and agility within the organisation as a facilitator, mentor, and Agile advocate.
The role also includes deputising for the line manager when necessary, supporting the product owner community, and promoting a positive culture within the Technology department and wider business.
What You'll Do
1. Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals.
2. Create and maintain a product roadmap outlining features, enhancements, and deliverables.
3. Manage and prioritise the product backlog in line with KPIs and business requirements, balancing customer features with technical improvements.
4. Organise requirements using agile frameworks such as user story mapping, epics, and prototypes.
5. Champion user-centric design principles, collaborating with UX/UI designers to ensure excellent user experiences.
6. Define quality standards for product development, promoting iterative and incremental delivery.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital products within budgets and KPIs.
8. Manage stakeholder engagement and communication regarding product updates and changes.
9. Define and manage release and go-live dates for products.

What You'll Get
A salary between £57,000 - £67,000, plus bonuses, a contributory pension scheme with company matching up to 12%, and flexible benefits such as share plans, car schemes, and support services.
