At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco provides multi‑activity and engineering support, supplying a wide range of services including engine and aircraft maintenance, fuelling, and ground control services. The Workshops Team Leader reports to the Serco Brize Norton Engineering Operations Manager and the RAF Brize Norton customer.

What You’ll Do As a Workshops Team Leader
* Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely fashion and to health and safety, fire, emergency evacuation, quality, risk and COSHH standards and procedures.
* Maintain a clear, safe, tidy, effective and efficient working environment.
* Must adhere to:
o Technical Work Procedures.
o Health & Safety Instructions.
o Serco Operating Procedures.
* Ensure the tasks and supporting documentation is always complete, correct and “right first time – every time”.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Engineering qualification
* Machining
* Sheet Metal Work
* Heat Treatment tasks
* Welding
* Fabrication
* Ability to effectively and safely complete technical maintenance and rectification tasks.
* Functional IT skills to use Electronic Technical Manuals and to update Maintenance Recording systems.
* Excellent team player with a “can‑do safely” approach to work.
* High standards of oral and written communication skills.

Vetting and Checks
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and a formal Security Clearance such as CTC or SC. UK residency requirements may apply. An occupational health questionnaire will also be completed.
