An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner to join the Early Intervention Team for Psychosis Sefton and Kirkby.
About the Service
The service works with individuals aged 14-65 experiencing a first episode of psychosis. It provides comprehensive support from triage and assessment to interventions aimed at recovery over a three-year period.
Candidate Profile
We seek qualified Registered Nurses (MH), Occupational Therapists, or Social Workers who are self-directed, committed, and capable of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves managing the patient journey, formulating risk management plans, supervising risk assessments, and providing expert advice and care coordination.
Training and Development
We offer in-house training covering psychological formulation, Family Interventions, CBT skills, and assessment techniques. Additionally, our active Learning and Development team provides opportunities for personal, clinical, and service development.
Main Duties
1. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
2. Formulate and supervise risk management plans.
3. Supervise risk assessments and provide expert advice.
4. Coordinate care and support service users with complex needs.
5. Support service users and their families, and motivate colleagues.
6. Travel between multiple sites within the Mersey Care footprint is required, including occasional travel to other areas such as the Young Persons inpatient Unit at the Countess of Chester.
