Role: Business Analyst (Physical Trading)

A leading supplier of Marine Fuel are on the lookout for a Business Analyst to support the analysis, design and delivery of technology solutions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Analyst include:
* Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into user stories and functional specifications
* Design and document workflows, data models, wireframes, and system enhancements
* Work with architects and development teams to ensure solutions meet requirements, maintain performance, and support existing processes
* Query and define database structures using SQL; produce data-flow and process diagrams
* Support the full software development lifecycle, including Agile ceremonies, change management, testing, and release documentation
* Provide analytical support, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
* Act as a bridge between business teams, technical teams, and external partners; present updates and deliver user training as needed
Key Requirements of the Business Analyst include:
* Experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in energy, maritime, or related industries
* Knowledge of Fuel oil and the Bunker industry
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of relational databases, system integration, and information security principles
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, quality assurance, and test-driven development
* Skilled in producing diagrams, technical documentation, and clear stakeholder communications
* Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong teamwork and communication abilities
