Responsible for driving and overseeing sync licensing activities within EMEA, possessing a strong blend of creative, marketing, and sales expertise to identify and capitalise on sync opportunities across various media, including film, television, advertising, video games, and emerging platforms. The VP will lead and mentor a regional team, tying into the Global Sync organisation, who will foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and work collaboratively with global sync teams to achieve revenue targets and create impactful sync moments for WMG artists.
Responsibilities
4. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the regional sync strategy in alignment with global objectives, focusing on maximising revenue and market penetration.
5. Creative Direction: Provide creative guidance to the regional sync team, ensuring an understanding of market trends, client needs, and the optimal placement of WMG's diverse music catalog. This includes active involvement in pitching and curating music for various projects.
6. Business Development & Sales: Drive aggressive sales efforts to identify and secure new sync opportunities. This involves cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with music supervisors, advertising agencies, production companies, brands, and other potential clients within the region.
7. Marketing & Promotion: Implement effective marketing strategies to promote WMG's sync catalog and services within the region. This may include organising showcases, attending industry events, and developing compelling promotional materials.
8. Revenue Generation & Budget Management: Accountable for achieving regional sync revenue targets and managing the regional budget effectively.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global sync teams, A&R, marketing, legal, and finance departments to ensure seamless execution of sync deals and projects.
Key Requirements
10. Progressive experience in music sync licensing, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
11. Deep understanding of the sync market within EMEA, including key players, trends, and legal frameworks.
12. Strong creative sensibility and a comprehensive knowledge of music genres, artists, and catalog potential for sync.
13. Proven marketing expertise, including the ability to develop and execute effective promotional strategies.
14. Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
15. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
16. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
