MRI Cardiac Radiographer
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MRI Cardiac Radiographer with Siemens experience. The post holder will be flexible, adaptable to change, and committed to providing safe, kind, and compassionate care. They will work closely with the MRI Lead and Cardiology Lead to develop the service, including the set‑up of a new cardiac MRI service. The Epsom MRI unit is currently being refurbished and will have a Siemens Sola 1.5T installed in the summer; a GE 1.5T Artist is also available.
Main Duties of the Job
As a Band 7 Cardiac MRI Radiographer you will:
* Perform high‑quality cardiac MRI scans while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity.
* Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team – cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals – to provide accurate and timely imaging that supports diagnostic decision‑making.
* Conduct general MRI examinations, requiring comprehensive MRI experience.
Person Specification – Qualifications and Further Training
* DCR or BSc (Hons) in Radiography
* Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration
* MRI Cardiac Training Courses
* Post‑graduate qualification (desirable)
Person Specification – Experience
* Experience in a broad range of MRI imaging, especially MRI Cardiac
* Experience in staff and student training
* Significant experience as a Cardiac Radiographer
* Evidence of involvement in departmental working groups and recruitment and selection (desirable)
* Experience in management and supervision in a Radiology department (desirable)

* Knowledge and awareness of diversity and human rights as appropriate to the role
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure high standards of care and a customer‑focused service
* Ability to understand an individual's communication, physical and emotional needs
