Quantity Surveyor

Permanent Role: £45,000
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join a company based in Cardiff.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of retrofit and decarbonisation projects, ensuring delivery is cost-effective, financially compliant, and aligned with relevant funding requirements such as PAS 2035, SHDF, and ECO4.
Key responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor role:
1. Develop and manage contract budgets and forecasts to ensure the financial control and profitability of allocated contracts.
2. Develop, manage and extend commercial relationships with both new and existing clients.
3. Act as project commercial focal point to ensure all project team members are aware of the key deliverables.
4. Control WIP and Final Account Settlements to ensure effective project cash flow.
5. Ensure effective RFI/CVI schedules are utilised and kept updated to manage commercial risk.
6. Weekly site visits to monitor variations, assess progress towards expenditure and support the operational manager.
7. Complete property surveys, provide dimensioned plans and enabling schedules as required.
8. Produce monthly commercial reports as required.
Experience for the role:
9. HND/ HNC Level, in a relevant construction acknowledged course
10. Previous experience within social housing
11. Previous experience working with SOR
12. Good working knowledge of forms of contact currently used within the building trade
13. Microsoft packages, specifically Excel user ability to a good standard
14. Good knowledge on PAS2035, Eco 4 & SHDF.
