Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and possess a strong understanding of materials handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory management. This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
Responsibilities
* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers
* Pick and pack orders accurately for dispatch
* Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels using a warehouse management system
* Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are accounted for
* Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are met
* Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse processes
Qualifications
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred
* Proficient in using forklifts and other materials handling equipment
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems, such as AS400, is advantageous
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly
* Experience in construction or related fields is a plus
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
