Venatu Recruitment is proud to announce that a successful, industry-leading client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. Specializing in the Fire Suppression industry, they are the UK's leading Data Centre Fire Suppression provider. Due to their growth, they are looking for a Project Engineer with Fire Suppression experience.
This is a permanent position offering £40k - £45k, a £6.5k car allowance, and a 10% annual bonus. The role involves a 37.5-hour workweek with flexible hours between 8AM and 6PM.
Job Duties Include
* Assist with design issues, calculations, drawings, method statements, HSE issues, as-builts, and O&M manuals.
* Prepare detailed build budgets with project managers prior to work commencement and procurement.
* Organize and manage order execution, including design, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
* Monitor employed and subcontracted labor and supply chain.
* Assist with payments and final accounts for subcontractors.
* Liaise with head office on invoices and procurement departments.
* Maintain records to control project costs against budgets.
* Prepare applications and invoice requests for contracts.
* Assist in sales or estimation when needed.
* Ensure smooth project progression by coordinating with sales, design, and service departments.
* Represent the company professionally, building relationships with clients and professionals.
* Support site management and team collaboration.
* Monitor competitor developments.
Candidate Requirements
* Electrical Engineer qualifications.
* Proven experience in the M+E industry.
* Previous project experience.
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, relevant software (AutoCAD, CAD, project management tools), and problem-solving skills.
* Fire Suppression experience.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
Desirable Skills
* Relevant project experience or engineering qualifications.
* Knowledge of fire safety systems, building regulations, and industry standards.
* Data Centre experience.
