The Role
As a Finance Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Providing dedicated financial support to our Clean Energy and International business units within Cavendish Nuclear, you will be joining a fast-growing team at the forefront of a Clean Energy revolution in the UK. As part of Cavendish Nuclear, you will be providing essential support to the next generation of Nuclear power generation technologies, whether that be Large Gigawatt projects such as Hinkley Point C, or opportunities with Small or Advanced Modular Reactors.
Day-to-day, you’ll be embedded within the project and contract leadership to support the project by delivering financial control, reporting and management information that is accurate, timely and reliable. All the while you’ll be expected to assist in the clear presentation of the financial state of the project and the financial impact of management decisions or indecision:
* Work closely with project controls and commercial teams to ensure robust financial governance and controls and accuracy of contract outturn forecasting.
* Support to comprehensive cost recovery and revenue maximisation, whilst highlighting to the senior finance team areas of concern.
* Assist project / contract management in the interpretation of financial and contractual information so that any necessary corrective actions and/or opportunities are quickly identified and implemented.
* Provide ad-hoc financial support to project and contract managers.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and be delivered from Bristol alongside home working arrangements. There may be a requirement to occasionally attend meetings face to face in alternative Cavendish sites, or at client offices.
Essential Experience of the Finance Manager:
* Experience of working in project accounting environments.
* Influencing and communication skills at all levels.
* Experience of working with customers and senior management.
* Good business / process analysis skills.
* Experience of working in JV / Alliance-type environments is also desirable.
Qualifications for the Finance Manager:
* You must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent / similar.
