Job overview
A level 2 apprenticeship in pharmacy rotating between our pharmacy stores and inpatient dispensary on our Winchester site, you will be collecting evidence of the skills you learn for your e‑portfolio.
The apprenticeship is distance‑based learning with online lessons to gain underpinning knowledge of pharmacy and the related laws and regulations.
You will have a dedicated assessor for your e‑portfolio work and an educational supervisor on site to meet with regularly to support with your work and set objectives.
This is a General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) accredited apprenticeship course.
Applicants must be a UK resident for the last 3+ years
Applicants must have GCSE grades A‑C (9‑4) or equivalent qualifications converted to match GCSE grading and have proof of these qualifications available.
Main duties of the job
* Maintain an e‑portfolio of evidence as set by your college assessor and in‑house educational supervisor.
* Carry out all work in line with relevant Health & Safety regulations.
* Maintain statutory and mandatory training competencies
* Accurately label and dispense prescriptions in accordance with labelling and dispensing guidelines
* Manage stock levels and stock supply at ward level
* Attend meetings with assessor and educational supervisor in order to set objectives for evidence within the apprenticeship
* Achieve and maintain in‑house competencies relevant to pharmacy stores and inpatient dispensary
