We'd like you to join us as a Support Worker to support our young client at their home in Rainham (East London). Meet the client: This role is to support our 16 year old male client who has low muscle tone and has a gastrostomy tube and suction machine. Our client is mobile but can be a little unsteady on his feet at times. Our client is very independent and can communicate his needs well. He loves his PlayStation, iPad, playing games, going on his swing set and in the pool in the summer. When you'll be working: Maternity cover for the below hours: Wednesday and Thursdays (3pm-7pm), plus alternate Saturdays (9am-2pm) Plus note the above hours are for term time and in the school holidays will change to Wed & Thurs (10am-4pm) and alternate Saturdays (9am-2pm) If you are looking for more hours we also have 1 night a week (10pm-7am) available with our other young client who lives in Dagenham What you'll be doing: This role is to support a 16 year old boy with complex health needs in his family home. This will involve supporting with personal care, medication, moving and handling, managing clinical equipment and enabling the client to engage in social activities. Full training and ongoing support will be provided for this role.
