Turn IT On is currently seeking an experienced ICT Consultant/Senior ICT Technician who is motivated and enthusiastic about technology. The ideal candidate should have a natural flair for technology, a strong willingness to learn, and a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers to join an expanding team supporting schools in and around Milton Keynes and Aylesbury.
Location: Milton Keynes - Buckinghamshire
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
Responsibilities include supporting a Trust of primary schools, acting as the liaison between schools and turn IT on, managing customer accounts, maintaining IT hardware and software, and helping improve ICT provision to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
Candidates should have a passion for IT, a solid technical background, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience in a senior ICT technician or support role in the education sector is preferred but not essential. The role requires troubleshooting skills, independence, and a proactive approach to service enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle 2nd/3rd line issues, respond to ICT emergencies, and manage school complaints.
* Resolve technical issues impacting school operations.
* Provide internal network support and staff training.
* Lead on installation and repair of IT equipment, including computers, network hardware, AV equipment, etc.
Skills and Abilities:
* Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft OS
* Virtualisation (HyperV), Cloud Technologies (Office365/Azure)
* Experience with server and network installations
* Proactive decision-making during ICT emergencies
* Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently and organize own time effectively
