Here at CCG we are a vehicle Breakdown & Recovery Company operating throughout Midlands and surrounding areas providing 24 hour breakdown and recovery assistance.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be based in our control room dispatching the most appropriate recovery vehicle to the scene and act as a liaison between the roadside technician and the motoring organisation.
The ideal candidate would have basic knowledge from within the motoring industry and have previous control room/call handling experience although this is not essential as training will be given.
Your job role as a recovery breakdown controller assistant will consist of you mainly working from APEX. Prior experience is not essential.

About the role: Control Room Operatives act as the primary contact and co-ordination point for both customers and our field-based resources.
They look after the various aspects of each service request, ensuring that individual customer requirements are met, that the most appropriate and timely resource are allocated to each task, and that any obstacles/issues are carefully managed.
You will be liaising with members of the public, clubs and insurance companies who have broken down, been involved in an accident or have cars in storage.
You may also be required to dispatch work to drivers.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
Supporting customers through the assistance/recovery process.
Booking jobs onto, and administering jobs within, our workflow management software.
Paperwork and invoicing
Keeping track of drivers and their equipment on board
Answering and making phone calls
Sending emails
Dispatching accident and breakdown jobs to drivers
For this role geographical knowledge is useful.
Good computer skills and a good telephone manner is preferred for this role.

Times negotiable: Ideally mon-thurs 2pm-10pm, Friday 12-8pm
Candidate Requirements:
Able to remain calm under pressure.

Good customer service/communication skills.
Able to work in a disciplined manner.
- Willing and able to learn new information.
Computer literate and good competency in Maths & English.
Familiarity with the Vehicle Recovery industry is preferred, but not essential (induction/training is provided).
Familiarity with use of APEX system desirable but not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate.
Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK
