Provides leadership and supervision of youth in the completion of assigned tasks and activities.
Part-Time or Full-Time Available. Flexible start/end dates - seasonal position. $20/hr
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
* Provides safe and effective services
* Adheres to policies related to safety and boundaries with service recipients.
* Attends safety and abuse risk management training as assigned.
* Adheres to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising service recipients.
* Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
* Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements.
Provides leadership and supervision of youth
* Trains and supervises youth in a variety of activities, including work-related, recreational, and academic that develop life skills.
* Ensures youth safety by encouraging proper use of tools and appropriate peer relations; reports self-harm concerns.
* Assesses expectations of site and conducts appropriate training for youth.
* Evaluates and reports youth progress; meets and communicates with appropriate personnel regarding youth progress.
* Attends training to improve knowledge and implement the Youth Care Program.
* Performs activities as assigned in both indoor and outdoor settings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Ability to communicate professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
* Ability to build and sustain trust for successful relationships.
* Ability to make quick decisions in sensitive situations while maintaining integrity.
* Knowledge of Boys Town Model.
* Ability to lead youth in completing tasks and redirect inappropriate behaviors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 21 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Previous experience with youth care preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Sufficient agility, endurance, and sensory abilities to perform all job requirements, including in stressful situations and outdoor conditions. Ability to monitor youth, assist with chores, and participate in activities, including standing and walking for extended periods. Be prepared for environmental conditions and potential behavioral challenges.
