Job overview
You’ll demonstrate consistently high standards of principled and professional conduct, upholding and carrying out the school’s vision and ethos with a strong belief in education, taking the lead role in directing the school’s mission. You’ll establish a secure learning environment where all pupils can flourish, as well as strategically directing staff to ensure that the highest standards of teaching and learning are met.
Job requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status.
2. Teaching, leadership and management experience with knowledge of developments across all of the key stages and curriculum areas
3. Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills
4. Experience of establishing and sustaining high standards of behaviour and learning for all pupils
5. Ability to support, maintain and develop the school’s ethos
6. Up-to-date knowledge of current safeguarding guidance and legislation
Main Duties
7. Moderation of pupil’s achievement
8. Accreditation
9. Assessment, reporting and recording
10. Baselining
11. To be responsible for timetabling and cover
12. As defined in the School Development Plan, coordinate the improvement of results through accreditation and teacher assessment
13. To oversee designated subject coordination across the School.
14. To oversee the formation of subject policies and schemes of learning to ensure they adhere to National standards and include new National strategies.
15. To be a Team Leader in the performance management of an assigned team.
16. To chair meetings as necessary.
17. To prepare and present as required data for the Governing Body
18. Undertaking other duties as may be reasonably expected.
