An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sport and Exercise Assistants to support the Sport Facilities Management team to ensure the smooth running of the University of Worcester (UW) sport and recreation facilities and service on St John’s Campus, the Riverside Centre, The Worcester Arena, Battenhall Playing Fields, The Moors Playing Field, and all other sports and leisure facilities on a day-to-day basis.
Duties to include, assisting with setting up and taking down of the equipment, preparing for academic and community bookings, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment throughout the sport centres and all associated facilities as necessary, dealing with enquiries from all clients and offering support in the fitness areas, while ensuring a good standard of health and safety operational practice is maintained throughout the range of sports facilities. This post will provide good practical leisure industry based knowledge, an asset for your CV.
Hours of work:
Working as a member of a team of staff working on a shift rota covering the 7am - 11pm Monday to Friday; 8.30am to 4 – 10pm on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Depending on one off event bookings, the opportunity to work beyond 11pm may present itself.
