* Maintain compliance with data governance standards and IT security best practice.
* Evaluate technical risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
* Work closely with internal teams including underwriting, actuarial, operations, and finance to deliver scalable and secure technology solutions.

* Provide architectural guidance and participate in code and design reviews.
* Liaise with compliance and audit teams to ensure all systems are appropriately governed and audit-ready.
* Keep up to date with emerging technologies and insurance sector innovations to identify opportunities for process and system improvement.
* Champion continuous enhancement of systems for performance, scalability, and usability.

* At least 5 years’ experience developing enterprise applications using the Microsoft technology stack, including:
* Proficiency in C# .NET and SQL Server.
* Solid working knowledge of React, JavaScript, GraphQL, REST and SOAP APIs.
* A deep understanding of tiered application architectures, cloud infrastructure, and serverless technologies.
* Hands-on experience with modern UI state management and modular development.
* Strong background in bug tracking, product enhancement, and SDLC best practices.
* Experience in API development, integration, and business process design.
* Familiarity with secure authentication and authorisation principles.
* Confidence working with large datasets, writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
* Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and containerisation using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
* Previous experience working within an Agile development framework; knowledge of JIRA would be advantageous.
* Experience managing a blended delivery model incorporating both onshore and offshore development resources.
