Your new role As a Structural Technician, you will be part of a dynamic and expanding team, you'll play a crucial role in creating general arrangement and detailed drawings under the guidance of the Engineers. Your work will adhere to our company's CAD standards, procedures, and document controls, providing essential support to the engineering team.The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in common building materials and construction details. Additionally, strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a passion for both team collaboration and personal growth, are highly valued. What you'll need to succeed These qualifications and skills are essential for success in the role of a Structural Technician. A minimum of a BTEC HND in an Engineering or Construction-related discipline. Prior experience as a technician within an engineering practice or environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in producing accurate and well-presented drawings or documents The ability to understand and create structural details from general arrangement plans.Familiarity with common building materials and construction details.Conversant with 2D/3D draughting software such as AutoCAD and REVIT.Knowledge of BIM co-ordination on projects.Experience with 3D Clash detection using Navisworks.Proficiency in reinforced concrete detailing, including the use of CADS RC.Excellent verbal and written communicationskills for effective interactions with diverse individuals.
