We are seeking compassionate and resilient Therapeutic Parents to join a dedicated residential childcare team. Based in a nurturing, family-style setting, you will provide daily care, guidance, and emotional support for children who have experienced trauma. This role follows a 6-week rolling rota with shifts of 2 days on / 4 days off, averaging 38.5 hours per week and including sleep-in shifts (£50 allowance per night). What You’ll Do: * Provide high-quality, therapeutic care in a safe, nurturing home environment * Build positive, trusting relationships using the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) * Support children with daily routines, education, hobbies, and enrichment activities * Collaborate with a clinical team of therapists, teachers, psychologists, and social workers * Participate in reflective practice sessions and training * Maintain placement plans, complete reports, and contribute to assessments * Safeguard children and create an environment that promotes resilience and recovery What We’re Looking For: Essential: * Experience supporting children or young people (ideally with SEMH/EBD needs) * Strong communication, teamwork, and resilience under pressure * Commitment to trauma-informed and child-centred care * Flexibility for shifts (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins) * Full UK Driving Licence * Over 21 years of age Desirable: * Qualifications in Residential Childcare * Knowledge of trauma-informed models (e.g. DDP, PACE) * Understanding of SEMH, attachment, autism, ADHD Pay & Benefits: * Salary: £13.00 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on qualifications) * Sleep-in allowance: £50 per night Additional Benefits: * Warm, supportive team culture rooted in reflective practice * Ongoing training and trauma-informed development * Clear career progression pathways * Opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives This role is based in a residential childcare setting with structured rotas and long-term stability.
