We are looking for a dynamic Resource and Planning Manager to join our team at Birmingham Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the scheduling and allocation of staff within the assisted travel service, ensuring smooth operation during peak times and maintaining high standards of service. You will collaborate with stakeholders to provide a seamless experience for passengers requiring assisted travel services.

Location: Birmingham Airport
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00‑16:00
About the Role
* Regularly analyse passenger flow data, historical trends, and seasonal fluctuations to accurately forecast staffing requirements, including reviewing flight schedules, special events, and peak travel times.
* Make real‑time adjustments to the roster as necessary, responding to unexpected changes in passenger volume or staff availability.
* Serve as the primary point of contact with staffing agencies, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution regarding staff allocations and performance.
* Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, absence, and performance metrics, ensuring data is validated and updated promptly to reflect operational needs.

What We Are Looking For
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Analytical skills: strong ability to analyse data and forecast resource needs.
* Communication skills: excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, management, and external agencies.
* Adaptability: ability to respond swiftly to changing demands and operational challenges.
* Technical proficiency: experience with resource management software (e.g., Time Gate) and scheduling tools.
* Experience: background in resource planning, operations management, or a related field, preferably in a high‑demand environment like an airport.
* Track record of strong communication skills.
* Basic IT skills.
