Job Title: Warehouse Operator
Location: Dartford
As a Warehouse Operator, you will support manufacturing operations by ensuring the safe, accurate and compliant handling of materials and finished goods. Working in line with GMP and Health & Safety requirements, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of stock control, housekeeping and continuous improvement across the warehouse.
The Role:
1. Picking raw materials in line with production requisitions.
2. Checking and confirming material status via JDE prior to issue to production, in compliance with GMP.
3. Transferring, receiving and returning materials to and from manufacturing areas using the stock management system.
4. Locating and storing returned materials appropriately.
5. Moving finished goods from manufacturing to the warehouse for correct storage.
6. Palletising finished products in accordance with SOP requirements.
7. Operating Forklift Trucks and other Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and responsibly, following all SOPs and Health & Safety guidelines.
8. Reporting any Health & Safety issues or damage promptly via the SOS process.
9. Disposing of waste correctly and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
10. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to a safe, organised and efficient warehouse environment.
11. Working collaboratively with warehouse colleagues and cleaning teams to ensure all areas are clean, tidy and well maintained.
12. Manual handling of materials up to 20kg.
The Candidate:
13. Valid forklift licences (reach and counterbalance) – essential.
14. VNA / Man-Up / Man-Down licence – advantageous.
15. Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
16. Knowledge of computerised stock management systems.
17. Good IT skills.
18. Good standard of English and Maths.
19. Strong awareness of Health & Safety and housekeeping standards.
20. Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
