We are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive finance team. * Cash management: counting, reconciling bank and cash accounts
* Ledger control: managing sales and purchase ledgers, reconciling against purchase orders
* Payments: preparing weekly and monthly supplier payment runs
* Credit control: handling customer queries and supporting debt management
* General ledger: processing and reconciling entries
* Journals: assisting with prepayments and accrual postings
* Compliance: supporting VAT return preparation
* Collaboration: attending meetings and following up on agreed actions
You will need some office-based experience as an Accounts Assistant, a Finance Administrator or in a similar role. An Accounting/Finance qualification is beneficial but not essential. You will need to be IT savvy with some good Microsoft Office exposure, and have familiarity with accounting software (Sage experience advantageous). Naturally, as is the case with all finance roles, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent communication skills are essential.
