MSK Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner – MSK & Hydrotherapy

An opportunity has arisen to join our MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative individual to support both clinical and administrative duties, as a Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner. The role will work under the direction of Therapists to maintain an effective, day-to-day service within MSK Physiotherapy, including contributing to the general running of the Hydrotherapy Service.
The role will be based in the Physiotherapy Department at the University Hospital of Wales.
The post holder will have opportunities to further develop their skills, working as part of our supportive clinical and administration team.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work alongside Therapists, other Practitioners / Support Workers, and our Administration team. The role will include direct clinical care, in both one-to-one and group settings, working under the direction of qualified Physiotherapists. This will include working in Hydrotherapy, contributing to its general day to day running, and Locality MSK services. In addition, working with our Administration Lead, this role will have responsibility for administration duties within the Outpatient Physiotherapy Department. This will include the use of electronic systems and packages such as ESR and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Teams).
The post holder will be supported by Clinical and Administration Leads. There will be a clear competency-based training and the opportunity for further programmes of study to support ongoing Continuous Professional Development and career development.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
