We’re working with a respected heavy civils and marine contarctor to recruit a Trainee Buyer. The company has a long history of delivering marine projects across the South Coast, helping to protect shorelines, improve ports, strengthen sea defences, and support the region’s water infrastructure. With several new projects starting between now and the Summer, they have a strong pipeline of work confirmed into 2027. The Buyer will support the procurement team to manage supplier performance, producing cost analysis and coordinating deliveries. Buyer Duties: * Ensure suppliers operate under agreed commercial trading terms where timescales permit. * Place orders for materials, services, plant and equipment in line with procurement schedules. * Arrange transfers of materials and plant between sites and head office as required. * Deliver market-competitive procurement solutions that achieve best overall value. * Distribute order confirmations and procurement information to sites and stakeholders.
