Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs? Teaching Personnel is working with SEMH schools in the Eastleigh area that are seeking compassionate, reliable, and flexible Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

What is an SEMH School?
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools support students who face challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, trauma, and behavioural needs. These schools offer small class sizes, a nurturing approach, and personalised learning to help every pupil succeed in both education and personal development.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups inside and outside the classroom
* Promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and wellbeing
* Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
* Encourage the development of social and life skills
* Contribute to a safe, structured and supportive environment
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* A strong team player with excellent communication skills
* Resilience and adaptability in challenging situations
* A genuine passion for helping students with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
