Role Overview
Our Business Support Officers support successful planning and delivery of business-as-usual projects and programmes. Bringing strong organizational and facilitation skills along with excellent communication, you will play a key role in supporting Skills for Care to fulfill our role of supporting people working in social care.
The Business Support Officer often acts as the link between our National Leads and the rest of the organization, ensuring projects are planned, communicated, and delivered successfully. You will support the delivery of various projects by providing professional project support to National Leads, Programme Heads, and Departments to ensure project deliverables are met.
The Workforce Delivery Team supports key areas across adult social care, including delegated healthcare activities, commissioning, workforce planning, prevention, and reform related to the Mental Health Act. The team also oversees individual employers and personal assistants, including managing the Individual Employer and User-Led Organisation Development Fund.
Candidate Profile
Candidates should demonstrate experience in a similar role, showcasing effective organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture are vital, as Business Support Officers highlight cross-cutting themes and make recommendations for efficient cross-organizational work. Strong negotiation and influencing skills, along with the ability to build relationships swiftly with team members and stakeholders, are essential.
