This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity. As Financial Controller, you’ll take the lead on audit delivery and statutory reporting across a large, multi-entity group, bringing structure, clarity, and control to a function that sits under real scrutiny.

The key duties of this Financial Controller will be:
6. Review and sign off statutory accounts across key entities, including group-level reporting.
7. Establish a robust and consistent yearend review process to improve accuracy and accountability.
8. Anticipate audit challenges early, ensuring teams are prepared with high-quality supporting information.
9. Act as a key point of contact for auditors, managing relationships and driving efficient delivery.
10. Support the design and implementation of stronger financial controls across the organisation.
The successful candidate will be:
11. A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
12. Experienced in leading financial accounts and audit within a complex organisation.
13. A confident leader who can provide direction and challenge where needed.
14. Technically strong, with the ability to navigate complex accounting issues.
15. Resilient and composed under pressure, with strong judgement and decision-making skills.
Location & working pattern:
Lancashire based with hybrid working (typically 2 days in the office).
