Business Administrator/Personal Assistant
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke. Free onsite parking.
Package: £27,870 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on suitability, qualifications and experience). Working pattern: full‑time 9‑day fortnight, core hours 8:15 – 16:00. The role is onsite at AWE sites in South‑East England.
Security Clearance: DV clearance required, funded by AWE. AWE is a UK‑only employer; British citizenship and 10 years UK residency are mandatory.
Responsibilities
* Complex diary and inbox management, prioritisation, delegation, and issue resolution.
* Proactive, anticipatory support to senior leaders, acting as an extension of the leader’s office.
* Issue de‑confliction on behalf of senior leaders with minimal instruction.
* Maintain confidentiality, manage sensitive information with discretion.
* Build relationships across senior internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Recent (within the last three years) high‑quality personal or executive assistant experience in an office‑based environment.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills and confidence using AI‑enabled tools.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, ability to manage competing priorities and deliver at pace.
* Professionalism, discretion and respectful communication with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong awareness of confidentiality, compliance, and risk.
Additional Experience (Preferred)
* High‑level customer and senior stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong problem‑solving and initiative, exercising sound judgement autonomously.
* Ability to work calmly in a priority‑changing, high‑pressure environment.
