Role Overview

* Title: Interim Finance Contractor (to cover parental leave)
* Location: Fully remote with occasional travel to Falkirk site desirable but not essential
* Working Arrangement:
o Full-time during initial handover (starting ASAP and before end of August latest)
o During parental leave (6 weeks): contractor works full-time (likely mid-October to early December)
o Post-leave: job share basis from around early December, 2 or 3 days per week as preferred
* Contract Duration: Approx. 6–7 months in total

Team & Reporting Structure

* Line Management:
o Reports to UK CEO
o Indirect reporting to CFO of European parent
* Collaboration:
o Works closely with sales team (for AR)
o Interfaces with external payroll and VAT firms

Role Purpose

* Maintain and oversee end-to-end finance function:
o Monthly management accounts (primary deliverable)
o Ensure timely and accurate reporting to group-level CFOs
o Support cash flow monitoring and reporting (bi-monthly)
o Support AP/AR, payroll coordination and VAT submissions
o NetSuite is the main finance system

Candidate Requirements

Essential

* Strong management accounting and month-end close experience
* Ability to independently manage finance function of a small company
* Comfortable preparing and commenting on written financial reports
* Familiarity with AP/AR processes and cash flow reporting
* Confident in remote communication via Teams
* Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
* Experience with standalone finance roles or in SMEs
* Available for full-time handover period starting asap or before late August
* Resiliance and initiative required

Desirable

* Experience with NetSuite (ERP)
* Background in manufacturing or inventory (particularly FIFO valuation)
* Previous exposure to payroll and VAT
* Experience in contract or interim roles
* Familiarity with remote, multi-national group structures (English business language)

* Current Setup: Jozsef working as a contractor from Spain (formerly UK employee)
* No other agencies involved
* Role Profile: None exists currently – to be created by consultant
* Business System: NetSuite for ERP; Okra for group reporting - Netsuite would be desirable
* Language & Comms: English is business language; communication via Teams
