From bistros to pubs and cinema rooms to spas – we’ve created extraordinary care homes so we’re looking for extraordinary people to join our team ABOUT THE DEPUTY CARE HOME MANAGER ROLE Within your role as the Deputy Care Home Manager, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Here are some of the responsibilities: Responsible for monitoring standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff. Prepare the staff duty rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times. Responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met. Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing. Liaise with the Home Manager across the range of operational activity to be able to assume responsibility for managing the Home during the manager’s scheduled and unscheduled absences. Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and action all reasonable work instructions promptly. ABOUT YOU You will support the Home Manager across all aspects of Home Management, providing a safe, caring, stimulating and homely environment for residents and their visitors: You will already be a Deputy Manager or have at least 2 years’ experience as a or Team Leader in Care Have strong leadership skills & are highly motivated Able to engage well with the residents and their families Have strong written & verbal communication skills Experience of working with people with Dementia NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care Have an NVQ Level 5 is a great advantage or be willing to work towards this.
