 
        
        Job Summary
We are looking for two enthusiastic Senior Paediatric Audiologists to join an expanding team in Hounslow. There is one full‑time role (37.5 hours) and one part‑time role (30 hours). You will work as an autonomous practitioner in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of a diverse caseload of paediatric patients, including those with complex needs. The role requires experience in a paediatric setting and registration with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS). All interviews will be in person on site in Hounslow.
Main Duties
 * Provision of a range of comprehensive audiological assessments and hearing aid provision to paediatric patients, including children with complex needs.
 * Effective and supportive communication with parents and professionals.
 * Support efficient service delivery and organise hearing assessments for children with special needs in schools.
 * Assist in gathering departmental performance data and developing clinical pathways and efficient patient management systems such as Auditbase.
 * Supervise junior staff and support their training and development.
 * Support the Team Lead and Clinical Service Manager in maintaining IQIPS accreditation.
 * Participate in audit programmes, ongoing development of new techniques and technology within the department.
 * Maintain stock levels, records and stock taking; arrange equipment repairs in line with departmental and manufacturer guidelines.
 * Manage the referral process to other agencies (GPs, ENT, Paediatricians, etc.).
Qualifications
 * Degree level or equivalent education in Audiology or MSc in Audiology OR Parts I and II BAAT and certificate for higher training (Paediatric).
 * Evidence of CPD.
 * Registered with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS).
Experience
 * Three years experience working in an NHS audiology department.
 * One year experience as a paediatric audiologist.
 * Experience with NHSP/BAA protocols and working with deaf families and culture.
 * Desirable: experience of behavioural, rehabilitation and electrophysiological assessment; newborn hearing screening programme; cochlear implant team; electrophysiological assessment for young babies; peer reviews.
Skills and Abilities
 * Ability to work with children and parents with other disabilities (learning difficulties, autism).
 * Ability to work as an autonomous professional.
 * Multi‑tasking and working under pressure.
 * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
 * Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and with a diverse patient group.
 * Knowledge of infection prevention and control, supervision ethos, and paediatric audiology advanced test techniques.
Contract & Salary
Band 6 – Salary £44,485 to £52,521 per annum, inclusive. Permanent contract, full‑time or part‑time. Location: Heart of Hounslow Health Centre, 92 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3LN. The role is advertised by West London NHS Trust.
