Calm in chaos? Brilliant with behaviour?
We’re looking for someone steady, patient, and full of heart to join a fantastic SEND school as a Behavioural Support Assistant. You’ll be part of a close-knit team helping pupils with additional behavioural needs thrive in a structured, nurturing environment.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting students with behavioural, social or emotional challenges
Providing consistent, 1:1 or small group support in class
Using de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed practice
Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
Building trust with young people who need it most
You should have:
Experience supporting children or young adults with SEND or behavioural needs (in schools, youth work, or care)
A calm, confident approach (bonus points if you’re Thrive trained – if not, we’ll help you get there!)
Great communication skills and a big dose of empathy
Why this role?
This isn't just classroom support. It’s a chance to make a daily difference, offer consistency to pupils who rely on it, and be part of a school that really values what you bring.
