Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Patient Transport Driver to join our team. As a Patient Transport Driver, you will play a crucial role in transferring patients and service users between different locations including but not limited to hotels and medical centers.
Responsibilities:
* Safely transport service users/patients to and from their homes, medical facilities, and other destinations.
* Support them in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Provide exceptional customer service.
* Coordinate with control team, informing them of the situation and proactively manage their journeys.
* Ensure the cleanliness and daily reporting of the vehicle status to the office.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
* Communicate effectively with the hotel management/security personnel/dispatch team while picking and dropping off the users.
* Assist in handing over the service users to appropriate staff/personnel
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Full UK driving license with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Excellent driving record with no traffic violations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to safely lift and manoeuvre patients when necessary
- Understanding Patient care
- Calm & Considerate in emotional circumstances
- Willing to go through an enhanced DBS (Company Funded)
- Provide previous work experience certificates with references
-Be able to work in flexible shifts with minimal supervision
* Proficient in wheelchair operations
-Certification in First Aid and CPR
-Dependability, Punctuality and strong attention to detail
-Patient Transport Experience
The following will be a plus:
- Ambulance driving experience
- Working in the Healthcare sector
- Patient handling Experience
