Main Purpose of Metal Finishing Deburr / Polishing Technician To carry out precision deburring and polishing of high-spec metal components to exacting quality standards using both manual and mechanical finishing methods. Responsibilities of Metal Finishing Deburr / Polishing Technician Perform manual and machine-assisted deburring, polishing, and finishing of metal components Operate vibrating deburring machines and ensure optimal surface finish is achieved Use precision measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, and depth gauges to verify tolerances Interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed work instructions Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the finishing area Perform quality checks and document results in accordance with inspection procedures Experience / Knowledge for the Metal Finishing Deburr / Polishing Technician Proven experience in a similar metal finishing, deburring or polishing role within a manufacturing or engineering environment Skilled in the use of vibrating deburring equipment and familiar with various finishing techniques Competent in the use of hand tools and measuring instruments such as micrometres, verniers, and depth gauges Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Other Details of Metal Finishing Deburr / Polishing Technician Successful candidates can expect to receive the following in addition to the advertised rate: • Holiday and Bank Holiday pay • Pension • A variety of additional benefits such as options for retail discounts, insurance and health benefits.
