Role Information
Role: Social Media & Community Manager
Location: Manchester (our brilliant brand new offices)
Type: Full-Time (4-day working week!)
Reporting to: Senior Leadership Team
Your Mission
Youll be the driving force behind WELLNERGYs voice, community, and digital presence. This role is about strategy as much as it is execution: youll create the roadmap, build the team, and bring our vision to life across every platform and touchpoint.
Youll take ownership of our thriving Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok channels, scale our community engagement, and design experiences (both digital and IRL) that make people feel seen, supported, and energised.
This is a role for someone ready to step up, take the reins, and make their mark.
What Youll Do
Strategy & Leadership
* Develop and execute a comprehensive social media and community strategy aligned with our ambitious growth plans
* Build and lead your own team as we scale over the next 12-18 months, starting as an individual contributor with the opportunity to recruit your first team member within 6 months
* Report directly to senior leadership, influencing key brand and business decisions
Content & Community
* Own and elevate our presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
* Create thumb-stopping, scroll-pausing content that reflects our inclusive, positive approach to wellness
* Build authentic relationships with our community, turning followers into advocates
Events & Experiences
* Help shape our community events strategy from the ground up
* Play a key role in delivering Wellnergy Festival 2026, bringing our digital community into unforgettable real-world experiences
* Identify and activate partnerships with wellness brands, influencers, and like-minded organisations
Growth & Innovation
* Drive measurable community growth and engagement across all channels
* Stay ahead of trends, platform updates, and cultural movements in wellness and social media
* Test, learn, optimise: bring a data-informed approach to creativity
Who You Are
Essential:
* 4-6 years experience in social media management, ideally within wellness, fitness, health, or lifestyle brands
* Proven track record of growing engaged communities and delivering standout content
* Platform expertise across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and content creation tools
* Strategic thinker who can see the big picture while nailing the details
* Excellent communicator with a natural ability to craft compelling, on-brand messaging
* Experience with events and activations: youve brought digital communities into real-world spaces
* Passion for wellness and wellbeing: you live and breathe this stuff
Bonus Points:
* Experience in the wellness, fitness, or health sector
* Track record of managing or mentoring junior team members
* Influencer partnership and collaboration experience
* Video content creation and editing skills
* Understanding of paid social and community advertising

Salary: 25,000 - 35,000 (depending on experience)
