This role sits right at the heart of the business and is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, working in a fast-paced environment and making a real difference to the customer experience.You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them with enquiries, processing hire orders and making sure everything runs smoothly from the initial call right through to delivery and collection. You'll work closely with the transport, yard, stock and engineering teams to ensure equipment is available, compliant and ready when needed.Every day will be different, but your focus will always be on providing a great service, keeping things organised and supporting the commercial success of the depot.What you'll be doing:Managing incoming customer enquiries in a friendly and professional mannerProcessing hire orders accurately and efficientlyCoordinating deliveries and collections with the transport teamLiaising with yard and engineering teams to ensure equipment is ready for hireKeeping systems updated with hire contracts, pricing, extensions and off-hiresBuilding strong relationships with customers and understanding their needsIdentifying opportunities to upsell or add value where appropriateHandling queries and issues calmly and professionallySupporting the depot in achieving excellent customer service and commercial performanceWhat we're looking for:Strong organisational skills and attention to detailConfident communication skills, both written and verbalA positive and flexible approach in a busy environmentA willingness to learn and developA full UK driving licencePrevious experience in hire, sales, customer service or a similar operational roleThe ability to support your business unit in delivering our ESG Strategy – Decade to DeliverWhat we'll give you:We'll support you every step of the way with full on-the-job training and access to our dedicated product and systems training teams.
