Your new role
As the Procurement & Contracts Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the end‑to‑end procurement process for goods and services across the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, you will:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to maximise value for money
2. Identify, assess and evaluate potential suppliers
3. Lead negotiations to securepetitive pricing and favourable terms
4. Drive sustainability, social value and net‑zero considerations through purchasing decisions
5. Manage tender processes, including preparing documentation, evaluating bids and awarding contracts
6. Build and maintain procurement cycles with each site to support forward planning.
7. Ensure strictpliance with internal policies, legislation and best practice
What you'll need to succeed
Experience & Knowledge
8. Proven experience in procurement or purchasing
9. Strong background in contract management
10. Effective negotiation skills with the ability to build strong supplier relationships
11. Good understanding of procurement regulations and best practice
12. Analytical and problem solving capability
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems

What you'll get in return
The annual salary for this role is £34,000. This business offers a hybrid working approach, which requires you to be on site a minimum of twice per week. As they have multiple sites across the midlands and Cheshire east, some travel is expected within this role.
