Account Executive Job Description
Founded in 2018, Distinctive is a fast-growing grocery sourcing business, supplying British retailers with differentiated products that customers truly value. The UK grocery market has been undergoing significant transformation, and Distinctive is on a mission to help retailers and brands grow faster throughout this process. Managed by a team of highly experienced ex-retailers, we aim to transform how products reach customers; we deliver ambient and chilled, food and non-food products to our UK retail customers. As we expand rapidly, we are constantly seeking the right people to join our team.
Responsibilities
This is a diverse and dynamic role. The primary responsibilities include:
1. Developing and managing product offers
2. Working closely with clients to improve sales performance and service
3. Monitoring performance metrics to achieve financial goals
4. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends
5. Preparing for and leading meetings with suppliers and customers
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills
2. Good commercial acumen
3. Background in grocery retail or consumer goods with an understanding of basic sector concepts
4. The ability to work independently and adapt to ambiguous environments
5. Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to contribute proactively
Location
Our office is based in Lichfield. The ideal candidate will be Midlands-based. The role is hybrid, requiring some travel, so a UK driving license is necessary.
