Salary: £51,000
Overview: We are seeking Lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.
What you’ll be doing
* All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
* Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate.
* Using a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
* Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
* Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
About You
* Hold a Master’s degree in an Accounting and Finance field obtained in the UK or equivalent.
* Have previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Audit or similar subjects.
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Have experience with accurate reporting and maintaining thorough and organised student records.
* Be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Be able to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commit to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
* Be fully qualified from PSRB’s affiliates or active members such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA.
