Managing Estimator – Construction PreCon Talent are currently assisting our client, a well-established and growing main contractor, with the appointment of a Managing Estimator to join their pre-construction team. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Senior Estimator who is ready to take the next step in their career, combining bid leadership with team management and close collaboration with the wider commercial function. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will take ownership of the estimating function, leading tenders from first principles through to submission, while also supporting and developing junior members of the team. You will be responsible for mentoring and managing two Estimators, ensuring best practice across cost planning, risk assessment, value engineering, and supply chain engagement. The role requires someone who is technically strong, commercially aware, and confident leading bids in a fast-paced pre-construction environment.
