Main duties of the job
What we are looking for:
1. Leadership, the successful candidate must be a leader who will promote excellence within the ward. We are looking for someone with previous band 6 or higher experience who can bring innovative ideas to the ward and develop and mentor a team.
2. Innovation, Evidence of quality improvement and advancing practice who is committed to promoting evidence-based care.
3. Enthusiasm, advanced communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
4. Aspiration, the successful candidate must be committed to improving their own clinical practice, knowledge and skills.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be required to support the clinical matron in the delivery of 24/7 service in the team or area that you are responsible for or have delegated responsibility for.
You will ensure high standards of professional practice to ensure quality and safety of patient care, patient experience and patient journey. You will deliver specialised clinical practice, Knowledge and experience and show effective leadership skills. you will undertake comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with complex presentation where factors may be conflicting, requiring high level of analysis and interpretation skills and the comparison of range of options to achieve effective treatment or discharge planning checks.

Essential criteria
5. Degree level education or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, or employment experience
6. Teaching and Assessing Qualification or equivalent study or work experience
7. Band 6 with minimum 1 years experience at this level
8. Professional UK registration e.g. NMC, HCPC
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
9. Evidence of significant post registration clinical work experience
10. Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) clearly recorded for professional profile
11. Experience of staff supervision and mentorship including, employee relations, performance, conduct and training needs analysis
