Working pattern: Part time - 3 days (22.5 hours) on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Fixed Term: 2 years We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our nursing team at the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital as a Specialist Nurse working with as part of the Cardiology team. The Cardiology service is a key part of our multidisciplinary referral hospital and requires close communication with the other clinical services. There is a busy and variable caseload, which will require you to be adaptable, be an excellent communicator and have the ability to work well under pressure. The successful applicant will be involved in specialist Cardiology consultations, diagnostic investigations (e.g. echocardiograms and ECG Holter analysis), minimally invasive cardiac procedures (e.g. pacemaker implantation) and inpatient management as well as clinical research. They will also be involved on our Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic. We are seeking an individual with a passion for nursing and problem-solving, and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, students and clients. The ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision is essential.
