The role: Construction Teacher
10. Full responsibility for delivering Construction Teacher duties either in T Levels, BTECs, and City & Guilds Construction Skills qualifications
11. Form tutor responsibility for 5 pupils delivering PSHE
12. Providing engaging and relatable lessons that chime with students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs to encourage them to access learning in and out of the classroom
13. Implement behaviour support strategies under the guidance of the SLT and pastoral team
14. Build strong, positive relationships with students, acting as a consistent and trusted adult
15. Work to develop students' emotional literacy, resilience, and social skills
16. Collaborate with TAs, therapy teams, parents/carers, and external agencies to provide holistic support
The Ideal Construction Teacher
We welcome Construction Teacher applications from individuals who:
17. Hold QTS or QTLS or have a pathway to achieving this within 12 months
18. Construction Teacher experience in a UK setting
19. Have experience working with children or young people with behavioural and emotional needs (school-based experience desirable)
20. Are calm, patient, and able to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
21. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
22. Are resilient, reflective, and committed to continuous professional development
23. Understand the importance of inclusion and safeguarding in education
