This is a wonderful opportunity to support children in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment at the end of the school day. About the role As After School Club Leader, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of fun, age‑appropriate activities for children aged 4–11. You will create a welcoming and inclusive environment where pupils feel safe, supported and able to enjoy their time after school. Your responsibilities will include: planning and lead engaging activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games and homework support ensuring the safety, welfare and safeguarding of all children preparing and serving snacks, following food hygiene and allergy procedures maintaining daily registers and records, including incidents and parent communication setting up and clear away equipment, maintaining a clean and organised space building positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and school staff supervising staff, volunteers or playworkers where applicable monitoring resources and report any supply needs. About you Essential: Experience working with children aged 4–11 Strong communication and behaviour management skills Ability to plan and lead structured activities A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent experience) Desirable: Food hygiene certification Experience leading or supervising others SEN experience Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training For more information Please read the Job Description (pdf).
